On Republic Day 2023, one of India’s most respected and celebrated journalist Palki Sharma launched her own multi-platform show “Vantage Point” on First Post (owned by Reliance Industries). The show aims to offer citizens a “glocal” view of news affairs, using deep research and logic to show how international stories affect the average Indian.
To create buzz around the launch, we crafted an omnichannel campaign with teaser films at the center. The teasers used humour and sarcasm to establish the need for better quality of news reporting in India.
The launch on Republic Day saw prominent outdoor sites and full-page ads in leading daily newspapers across Delhi NCR and the rest of the country. CNN-News 18 broadcasted the first launch film ahead of the premier of the first episode.
Leveraging Schbang’s widespread industry network, we coordinated the launch of the teasers with prominent Indian channels like CNN-News 18 CNBC TV18, News18 India, News18 Kannada, News18 Kerala & News18 Tamil Nadu.
The teasers were amplified with clever outdoor and full-page newspaper ad creatives like “Know how Putin’s mood swings India’s stocks” unfolded how global stories affected India, highlighting what the show promises to deliver.
Overall, the campaign was very well received with warmth and excitement, with the promos garnering more than 6 million views and high engagement through thousands of retweets and comments on various social handles. The teaser films themselves received more than 2 million views online, making our message loud & clear - Vantage Point is here to change how people consume news!
